80% of Roma in Europe are at risk of poverty, while the European average is 17%. In Roma families, the income level is 60% lower than the national average.

62% of Roma live in unsanitary conditions and 22% don’t even have water at home.

The report indicates that there has been almost no progress in education: over 70% of young Roma leave school early. Furthermore, half of those who receive an education learn separately from the rest of society, ie in schools where the majority are Roma children.

Furthermore, the president of the Roma Association underlined discrimination in the labor market, especially in a hidden form.

Rudevičs was also able to tell that about half a million Roma live in Ukraine. However, there is no data on how many of them escaped.
