I new cases of Covid-19 registered in Italy in the last 24 hours are 56,166, an increase compared to 53,905 infections yesterday and with rising positivity rate. These are the data of the bulletin of the Ministry of Health today Thursday 23 June. The total number of infections since the beginning of the pandemic reaches 18,071,634. THE deaths for Covid there were 75 on the last day for a total of 167,967 victims. In the last 24 hours, 248,042 molecular and antigenic swabs were carried out. The rate of positivity it is 22.6%. The current cases are 652,572, the healed instead are 17,251,095 (+29,798)

Hospitalization in the medical area and intensive care
Today there is an increase in patients hospitalized for Covid in normal wards while they are stable in those in intensive care. In the ordinary departments there was an increase of 117 units, for a total of 5,064 hospitalized, while in intensive therapy there are 216 patients in total with 31 admissions on the day.
Covid vaccinations in Italy
According to the report on vaccinations against Covid-19 in Italy updated with the data of today, Thursday 23 June, 138,126,938 doses have been administered so far. 48,648,082 people received the two doses of the first cycle or the single-dose vaccine, a figure equal to over 90.1% of the population concerned. 39,724,572 people received the third dose, equal to 83.27% of the population potentially subject to an additional dose. Children between 5 and 11 years of age who have received at least one dose are 1,395,616.
