Job specification
The incumbent will be responsible for collecting, structuring and analyzing data to gain powerful insights that will optimize our marketing campaigns. This includes designing and managing data collection and analysis solutions, analyzing the performance of marketing campaigns and their impact on engagement, conversion and retention, working with Executive Publishing and brand teams, marketing teams such as CRM, and “business hubs”.
What do you do?
- Be a thought leader and drive data-driven decision making among stakeholders.
- Translate stakeholders’ business questions and challenges into analytical projects.
- Provide a cross-sectional view of brand-level performance, insights and recommendations.
- Communicate campaign performance results and make optimization decisions with stakeholders.
- Provide data analysis and reporting to identify trends and opportunities across channels, audience segments and player segments.
- Set marketing goals based on financial ambition and business metrics.
- Work with marketing teams to ensure marketing efforts are effective and drive additional engagement and conversions.
- Make measurements and develop test strategies.
- Develop A/B and multivariate testing strategies.
- Use predictive analytics to analyze data related to audiences, website interactions, media campaigns, customer relationship management and social platforms.
- Develop robust analytical processes to set campaign expectations, inform decisions and recommend marketing strategies.
- Develop data science models and use statistical analysis to answer business questions for brands and marketing services teams.
- Work closely with brand and marketing teams to define measurement plans, generate insights and provide data-driven insights.
- Synthesize data from various sources to gain actionable insights and codify lessons into best practices. Create insights from marketing data. Create reports and actionable insights from complex data.
- Define and implement strategies to measure and optimize the impact of marketing activities on sales and customer engagement.
- Create, manage and distribute data and information through regular and ad hoc reports using analysis tools (SQL, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, Jupyter Hub, Dagster).

- Demonstrated analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions and develop action recommendations.
- Strong quantitative skills and knowledge using scientific analysis methods, qualitative methods and quantitative research methods, as well as predictive modeling.
- Demonstrated success in presenting qualitative and quantitative research data in a clear and compelling way that inspires action.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, resourcefulness and the ability to self-direct.
- Deep knowledge of SQL and Excel.
- Experience generating insights from customer level data and aggregated data sources.
- Experience with programming, Jupyter, Python, R or comparable statistical modeling tools.
- Programming experience and familiarity with Tableau.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is required in this role due to daily interactions with colleagues and partners outside of Quebec who all speak English.
