    Michael Smith entered the race as the reigning champion this year.     Darts World Cup 2024: Five Germans will be there for the first time

    All well-known stars such as defending champion Michael Smith or his predecessors Peter Wright, Gerwyn Price and Michael van Gerwen were represented among the 96 participants at the start. Gabriel Clemens, Martin Schindler, Ricardo Pietreczko, Dragutin Horvat and Florian Hempel also came from Germany. For the first time, five German participants took part, but none survived the third round.

    In Germany, the Darts World Cup games are broadcast by Sport1 and DAZN. For Sport1, it is the 20th broadcast of the darts event in a row, after the games were brought to German living rooms for the first time in 2004. (which)
