DART Transportation Service Prepares for Severe Weather This Weekend | Univision 23 Dallas Ft. Worth KUVN

DALLAS, Texas.- With the worsening of winter weather with a forecast from the National Meteorological Service about the possibility of storms and snow for this coming weekend, the DART transportation service implements its scenario 1 operation plan for severe winter weather, which will come into effect from Sunday, February 14 from 11:00 PM to 11:59 PM on Monday, February 15.

Their plan is for the DART train to operate in the vicinity of the LBJ loop with the combined use of trains and buses, when allowed by the limited train service.

The vehicular transport of the street known as “Streetcar” will not operate during this time …

Starting at 11:00 PM next Sunday, February 14, trains will operate between the following stations:

Linea Roja: LBJ/Central 8th & Corinth

Linea Azul: LBJ/Skillman 8th & Corinth

Green Line: Farmers Branch – Lawnview

Orange Line: Irving Convention Center – LBJ / Central

Customers using stations outside these limits will ride buses to stations that are in service. Passengers should look for the red “Train Interruption” bus stop signs located near each station to board a shuttle bus.

On Monday, DART bus routes will operate normal Saturday hours with limited service added on express routes 206, 208, 278, 283 and local routes 63 and 362.

DART Paratransit will operate under holiday service next Monday, February 15, which means they will cancel all subscription trips, with the exception of dialysis service.

Customers who need to book rides for Monday can contact reservations at (214) 515-7272 or through the web portal at www.dart.org/ridepara.

DART advises that it will continue to monitor weather conditions in the North Texas area for the safety of our passengers and employees.
