Darren Bent believes that Nicolas Jackson is getting better and better and feels that his poise in front of goal has improved this season.
The Blues have made a good start to the campaign and are currently third in the league after a 2-1 win against Leicester on Saturday.
Despite not signing a striker this summer Chelsea they have not struggled for goals and have 23 goals from their 12 games this season, with only two teams scoring more.
Much has been made of it Chelsea failing to bring in a striker after chasing Victor Osimhen for most of the window, while agreeing a deal for Samu Omorodion only for him to collapse at the minute finally.
Jackson’s start to the season has shown that losing a striker might not be so bad and the 23-year-old has seven goals and three assists in 12 games.
The Senegal international has improved significantly under Enzo Maresca, particularly his finishing and has started every league game this campaign.

“He scored a lot of goals last season, this year, he looks like he’s a bit more complex in front of goal. I think if you look at last season he was going through a lot, but he couldn’t finish.
“Both of West Ham’s goals were good finishes. The goal at the weekend against Leicester, a brilliant little touch and off the boot. A beautiful finish.

“I just think it gives you so much. What you probably don’t see on camera is how many runs he makes. He’s always on his shoulder.
“They look at it and they don’t really play it. He gets the pass from time to time. For every pass he gets, he probably makes about eight runs. It is scary how many times it is on the shoulder. I love him so much.”
