On Wednesday, November 24th, the Covid-19 crisis team of the City of Science Darmstadt continued to deal with the development of infections in the city and, above all, with the progress made in setting up another vaccination clinic in the darmstadtium.
As mayor Jochen Partsch informs, the colleagues are making good progress here, so that the spatial requirements will be in place from Friday. “Since, however, in addition to our planning, we have been adjusting capacities once again by order of the state and have to coordinate this with the service providers with a view to personnel and opening times, the official start will be on Monday, November 29th at 9 Be clock “, explains the mayor. Then it will be possible to get vaccinated there in the copernicium room without an appointment.
The already existing vaccination clinic in the health department in Bessungen now reports a total of 1313 inpatient vaccinations for the past calendar week, of which 429 are first, 117 are second and 767 are third. “The comparatively high number of first vaccinations shows”, says Mayor Partsch, “that apparently and fortunately people can still be reached.” In addition to the stationary vaccinations, there were also mobile offers again.
Meanwhile, the infection rate in Darmstadt continues to accelerate. As the health department announced, 126 laboratory-confirmed cases of Covid-19 were added for the science city Darmstadt for Wednesday, so that a cumulative 8589 laboratory-confirmed cases are now registered in Darmstadt. The incidence is 289.6. The case distribution in the age groups from last week provides information about the groups most affected. Of a total of 378 cases in calendar week 46, 117 cases were in the group of under 20s (14 of them were U6 and 103 from 6 to 20 years of age), 131 cases in the age group of 20 to 40 years, 92 in the age group of 40 to 60 , 28 in the 60 to 80 age group and 10 in the over 80 age group. This shows once again, according to the colleagues, that the majority of the infection process takes place in the younger, mobile people who take part in social life and (as in the case of children, for whom there is in some cases no approval for a vaccination ) are not vaccinated.
In the Darmstadt clinics, the situation is tense but stable due to the fact that transfers are still taking place. In normal and intensive care there are currently 14 (10) patients in Darmstadt Clinic, 13 (2) in Elisabethenstift, 5 (0) in Alice Hospital and 2 in the children’s clinics. As of today, the 2G + regulation applies in the Darmstadt clinics (only vaccinated and convalescent + an additional antigen test not older than 24 hours), for births and 3G + individual exemption regulations. Due to the dynamic nature of the infection, it is possible to make changes to the individual clinics on a daily basis; visitors are therefore asked to inquire in advance about the regulations that apply to the clinics in question.
While the infection situation in schools seems to be comparatively stable, there are currently more infections in day-care centers. As the social affairs department has informed, there will be a sponsors’ meeting today and a meeting with the parents tomorrow.
The public order office reports that the controls at the Christmas market show that the 2G rule that has been in force on Friedensplatz so far has been fully complied with. When complying with the mask requirement, however, readjustments have to be made again and again, which is why more visible signs should now be attached.
