DARMSTADT-DIEBURG – It continues upwards: The incidence for the Darmstadt-Dieburg district on Tuesday is 114.5. Now both Hesse and the district are several days in a row above the critical mark of 100, which should be relevant for a possible “emergency brake” according to the federal-state resolutions. The district had exceeded 100 on Sunday; the Hessen value tore the mark last week.

27 new infections and two more deaths were reported on Tuesday. Schools are also again affected by corona cases; this time the Carl Ulrich School in Weiterstadt and the Gersprenz School in Reinheim. Cases at district schools have also become known in the past few days.

No changes to the clinics

As of March 22nd (9 p.m.), 19,480 people were vaccinated against the coronavirus in a circle – that is 348 more than the day before. In addition, 253 people received their second vaccination on Monday, which is a total of 8,095 district residents.

In the district clinics, the situation remains almost unchanged: Seven patients are treated in the normal ward in Groß-Umstadt, four (plus one) intensively. At the Jugenheim site, twelve seriously ill patients are cared for in the Center for Acute and Post-Acute Intensive Care Medicine (ZAPI).
