Darmstadt – SV Darmstadt 98 has to wait for the first win of the season in the 2nd Bundesliga under its new coach Markus Anfang.

Against Jahn Regensburg, the Hessians did not get past a 0-0 in front of their home crowd after they had lost the opening game in Sandhausen the previous week. For the first time since March 7th, spectators were again admitted to the stadium at Böllenfalltor, which is currently being rebuilt. 1741 visitors saw the game.

In pouring rain, both teams developed good opportunities in the first few minutes. After that, however, the game flattened out because the rivals in the game lacked the necessary precision. After a foul by the Regensburg attacker Kaan Caliskaner, Darmstadt’s goalkeeper Marcel Schschuhe had to be treated for a few minutes, but was able to continue (38th). After the change, the hosts pushed for the lead, but could not take advantage of their sometimes high-profile opportunities.
