Darmstadt (ots) – On the early Saturday evening (August 21st) around 5.40 p.m., a fire was reported to the operations center of the police headquarters in South Hesse at the recycling center in the Arheilgen district on Röntgenstrasse. The fire brigade in Darmstadt and the fire brigades from Arheilgen and Wixhausen can put out the fire in a container there for scrap metal. Nobody was hurt. There was no damage to the building. The property damage is estimated at a few hundred euros. No information can currently be given on the cause of the fire.
Further investigations in this regard will be initiated by the responsible police commissioner in Darmstadt.
