Darmstadt – It is particularly inconvenient for captain Fabian Holland that second-division football team SV Darmstadt 98 is preparing to continue the season in quarantine.
The 29-year-old defender and his wife Louisa are expecting youngsters. «The appointment is in a week. So it could start at any time, »said Holland. «When the time comes, I will leave the training camp immediately. That is agreed. »
On May 9, the team went to a hotel in a one-week quarantine as prescribed, only to play their first game after the Corona break at Karlsruher SC a week later. Should the child – it will be a boy – be born in the next few days and Holland quarantined, he should not play in Karlsruhe. “Let’s hope he takes a little more time,” he said.
