Darmstadt: bulky waste fire – police are asking for information

Darmstadt (ots) –

Early on Sunday morning (April 17), shortly after 1:00 a.m., passers-by reported a fire in front of an apartment building in Mathildenstraße to the Darmstadt rescue control center. The Darmstadt professional fire brigade, which was dispatched immediately, was able to quickly extinguish the fire from the bulky waste stored near the wall of the house. Luckily, no one got hurt. Nevertheless, according to initial estimates, total damage of around 25,000 euros was caused to the house facade, an apartment on the first floor and a car parked in front of the property. The affected apartment is no longer habitable, at least tonight. The resident can sleep with neighbors. The patrol of the Darmstadt police, which was also deployed, has started investigating the cause of the fire. Since negligent or even intentional arson cannot be ruled out, the police are asking for information by calling 06151 / 969-0. Manufactured: EPHK Rene Bowitz, PvD, Tel.:06151 / 969-40312
