Animated stickers now available in the stable version
The first of the novelties is that of animated stickers. We discussed this change yesterday, where we can send stickers on the move. The company has included the first pack already in the application, and little by little they will be adding more, with the additional improvement that we can create our own stickers. At the moment, it has not been specified how we will add these animated stikcers.
QR codes to share our mobile
The second novelty is QR codes. From now on, we will have the option of adding a new contact to WhatsApp easier than ever. All we have to do is scan the QR code on the screen of your mobile, and it will be added to our agenda without having to enter the mobile manually so that you can make a mistake.
Dark mode on WhatsApp Web and Desktop
The third novelty is the arrival of the dark mode on WhatsApp Web and the desktop version. This function has been available for months in the mobile app, and now we can finally use it on the computer whether or not we have installed the native app. We just have to go to Settings> Theme to choose the dark theme.
Group calls to 8
The fourth new feature is the introduction of group calls to eight. The current limit was set to four people, but now group calls and video calls can have up to 8 participants at a time. Also, if you want to focus your attention on a specific person, you only have to press and hold on their image to maximize it and see it in full screen. In group chats of 8 participants or less, the video call icon will also appear at the top to start a video call more quickly with a single touch.
States in KaiOS
The fifth and last novelty affects the brave who use KaiOS, who can use the States. Hopefully the three people who will be affected by this change are excited.

As we see, WhatsApp has finally confirmed the arrival of these changes. However, not all will be available at once, since WhatsApp has announced that they will be published for users in the coming weeks. Today, for the moment, no new stable version of WhatsApp has been published, although two betas have been. Therefore, it seems that we will have to wait a few days to be able to use these functionalities, which we had been detailing in recent months, confirm they were leaking.
