“Dark days await Lebanon”…Israel to the Litani?!

“Lebanon Debate”

Writer and political analyst Wajdi Al-Aridi pointed out, “Information he obtained from narrow circles, and from those returning from the United States of America, seriously warning that Israel intends to carry out a ground operation, even to the Litani, and that the American envoy, Amosh Hochstein, will return to Beirut and Tel Aviv for this purpose.”

Speaking to Lebanon Debate, Al-Aridi said: “During his last visit, Hochstein came specifically for this goal, and came up with a formula that he will present again to Israeli and Lebanese officials.”

He revealed that “the Americans, along with the Europeans, and the United Nations are seeking to send international forces to the Shebaa Farms area, similar to what happened in 1978, when these forces were sent, the majority of whom were of Norwegian nationality, and they were deployed in the Ebel al-Saqi area and its east. Resolution 425 was implemented the day after the liberation.” In the year 2000.”

He continued, “In addition to this information, there is an atmosphere that the deployment of international forces in the Shebaa Farms may be aimed at calming the situation until agreement is reached on land demarcation and determining the ownership of these farms in light of the ongoing conflict between Lebanon, Syria and Israel, where no one recognizes who owns them, and it will be The land demarcation serves as a gateway to reaching calm, given that Israel stresses that the residents of the settlements will return, but not through the status quo, where the fiery distance between Hezbollah and the Israeli army is very close.”

He added, “To this end, if matters do not lead to any result, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may undertake an adventure with uncalculated consequences through a ground invasion, air cover, and perhaps bombing civilian and vital facilities. The game is not over, neither in Gaza, nor in the south, nor in the future.” Talking about the establishment of the Al-Aqsa Flood Brigades is evidence that Lebanon has returned to the era of the seventies, and has become an arena and platform for exchanging regional and international messages at the expense of bidding by some regarding the Palestinian issue.

He considered that “the coming matters portend dire consequences if there is no national and comprehensive consensus, and not as was the case in the mid-seventies and eighties through a state of political division.”

He revealed that “communication and coordination are continuing on the Washington-Paris line, in order to spare Lebanon from any ground invasion or major military operation, and the threats that are said are a serious matter and not exaggeration.”

Al-Aridi concluded by saying: “There is a feverish race to save Lebanon from these wars, otherwise we are heading towards dark and bleak days, but as of now I do not expect a war similar to the July war, and there may be an opportunity for the Lebanese to greet, but in light of the current atmosphere, the game is… It is open to all possibilities, especially since the field is still burning in Gaza and the south, and we are working on the piece, every day, and we may witness an unprecedented escalation. All of this is possible, especially since there are no controls, as Israel is an enemy and criminal state that does everything. It does not comply with the international community or international resolutions.”
