It was he himself who broke the news: days ago, Darío Barassi announced on his social networks that he was experiencing some health problems that forced him to pause his professional activities to undergo surgery. The host of ¡Now I Fall! revealed that he had to undergo surgery for a polyp on his vocal cords and surgery for an abdominal hernia, which is why he will be absent from El Trece’s entertainment program until the postoperative times determine it. “The big complication I have is that the postoperative period is intense and I have to be very silent for approximately 15 days,” he had said at that time.
With the surgery successful and now at home, the actor and host published a series of images of what were his days at the Finochietto Sanatorium, away from his wife Luli Gómez Centurión and his two little daughters, Emilia and Inés. And true to his ironic and relaxed way, he communicated the medical report: “Forced to stop. That the body speaks, that we have to slow down, that last year was very hard, that you are going to be fine, be patient, take advantage of the silence… Breathe.” “We put body, head and heart into it. We did the surgery that had to be done and now a somewhat complicated post-operative period since for several days I cannot speak and that makes me a little uneasy,” he expressed, confirming his concern from the previous one. But also giving each other encouragement. “Come on, calm down and cute chubby axis, we will come out better,” he wrote to himself.
Darío Barassi and his new hospitalizationDarío Barassi had to be hospitalized again and he told about it through his Instagram account
However, his words of encouragement were not enough and Barassi had to return to the health center. Through his Instagram stories, the driver wrote about a photo of a clinic room: “Where did the chubby guy go again?” and he shared a video without audio in which he wrote: “Oh, right I can’t talk.” Immediately, with another photo, he detailed what happened to him: “The surgery wound was causing an allergic reaction, and since I had a fever, there was no hesitation in giving the fat man intravenous antibiotics. It is calm, controlled and without any risk. Just be patient.”
“Here is the fat man with his intravenous antibiotic,” he added in a new story
Then, he shared a video to reassure his almost five million followers. “They just let me say ten words. And although it sounds strange, hoarse, tired, the voice is there and I cannot bear more gratitude and emotion,” he revealed, very happy about the progress. He also showed that he began to receive visits, such as that of actor Santiago Talledo, and said that he managed to make a video call with his daughters. “What I hate most about being hospitalized for a while longer and not talking is what I miss being and playing with these two creatures. Which are, I don’t know, part of my soul and body. I can’t without them. Obviously I just made a video call and was left behind. Midgets, dad loves you on another level,” he dedicated to the girls along with an image of them hugging him on the beach, with their little faces covered with pink hearts, since the couple refuses to show the minors’ faces.
Barassi revealed what he misses most: his two daughters
“Here is the fat man with his intravenous antibiotic. First of all, thanks to the Finochietto Sanatorium for such good care and treatment. “I’m in ortho because I want to be at home with my daughters and starting speech therapy rehabilitation, but sometimes things are not the way you want,” he added in a new story.
