The Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, has assured this Tuesday that coronavirus infections in Spain continue in a “downward” trend in all indicators, although she has made a call to the “culture of care”.
Darias has spoken in this way after signing two agreements with the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), where he has also insisted on the importance of full vaccination against the coronavirus because it has been shown to “save lives”.
However, and regarding the administration of the fourth dose to people over 60 years of age, the Minister of Health has recalled that the vaccine report has already proposed it and that it only remains to decide when and how the inoculation will be carried out.
“It will depend on the epidemiological situation and the possibility of the arrival of new vaccines adapted, or not, to the new variants,” he said, commenting that the vaccine developed by Hipra is being assessed by the European Agency Medicines and Spain will act “when the decision is adopted”.
