The star of the series Revenge, Ukrainian actress Daria Tregubova, who played the role of the antagonist Karina, said what she thinks about her character and whether she condemns her actions.

From Monday to Thursday at 20:00, 1+1 Ukraine broadcasts the new Ukrainian series Revenge, the plot of which is actively discussed on social networks. This is a story about the strength of the human soul against the backdrop of the struggle for justice and about how not to change your dreams, even in dark times.

Ukrainian actress Daria Tregubova played in the series the role of Karina – Gennady’s wife, Igor’s stepmother and Roman’s mother – her own son, whom she has been hiding from her husband for 20 years.

In an exclusive comment, Daria answered why she loves her character.

“Because Karina is a beauty. With a very strong core. She understands what she wants, unlike many other people. She loves her son very much and does a lot for him. What she considers good. Although in reality she is not a good person. Karina chose the wrong methods and rules to guide her life. She believes that the goal requires any action from her. And that she can do anything for the sake of her goal,” the actress shared.

She emphasized that she considers her heroine’s actions wrong:

“I think this is wrong. I think that Karina is ruining her karma. I really hope that the audience understands that I am not Karina. I’m just trying to play her well. But if it evokes strong emotions and hatred in you, that’s cool and it means that we have completed our task. Because Karina is an antagonist and you shouldn’t love her,” Daria noted.

The actress also explained why she likes to play antagonists and why there have been many such roles in her career:

“This happened historically, and it’s cool. They are cool, they can be different. First of all, the antagonists are always the most beautiful. They are the best dressed. So far, in our Ukrainian scenarios, it does not happen that the antagonist is the most modest first-grade teacher. It doesn’t happen that way. This will be the main character and the antagonist who ruins her life. As a rule, it will be a rich, chic woman in good clothes,” Daria shared.

Earlier, Ukrainian actress Claudia Drozd, who played the role of another antagonist Marina, answered whether she condemns her and why she believes that she needs to sympathize.

Revenge: plot, where to watch

According to the plot of the series Revenge, the main character is the talented and ambitious Valentina, who dreams of achieving success in science. However, her life is turned upside down when she finds herself at the center of treacherous intrigues. Valentina faces the betrayal of her cousin and best friend, whom she trusted unconditionally. A loved one fabricates charges against Valentina, as a result of which she loses everything: her fiancé, her home and the trust of others. Valentina enters into a merciless struggle for justice and love, and understands that the main thing on this path is not to lose her own humanity.
