Daria Nepryaeva, Anastasia Faleeva, and Ekaterina Evtyagina Impress in All-Russian Spartakiad Ski Competition

All-Russian competition started in Tyumen Spartakiad from skiers.

The best in women’s sprint classic qualifying were Daria Nepryaeva, Anastasia Faleeva and Ekaterina Evtyagina. It was surprising that Faleeva failed to become the first, which she regularly did during the season. Because of this, she had to run in the 4th quarterfinal.

And in the first, Nepryaeva showed that she was in her best shape. She won her race convincingly. She finished second Elizaveta Pantrina. Both were even able to make a small lead over Ruslana Dyakova, who ended the competition at this point.

It was tight in the second run. We got to the stadium: Alena BaranovaAnastasia Vlasova, Olga Yakimushkina and Anastasia Dotsenko. In the showdown, Baranova worked tactically competently. Yakimushkina did everything right, leaving her rivals behind. Dotsenko and Vlasova were lucky to be in the semi-finals on time.

We made it through the third and fourth quarterfinals without much struggle. Veronica Stepanova and Olga Tsareva were able to create a gap over their opponents. At the finish line no one approached them. I unhooked everyone and Faleev. The fight in her race happened only on the finishing slope between Ekaterina Nikitina and Evgenia Krupitskaya. The latter’s skis worked great, so she went around her opponent without any problems.

It was dramatic in the fifth race. Young Alina Pekletsova was not the main favorite, but could easily have advanced. The fall deprived her of the opportunity to reach the semifinals. Came out directly Yulia Stupakwho led the entire distance, and Evtyagina.

The semi-finals turned out to be without intrigue. Stepanova and Nepryaeva, as well as Faleeva and Evtyagina took care of their places in the medal race in advance. Baranova and Pantrina kept them company as lucky losers.

The girls saved all the tastiest things for the finale. Stepanova, Nepryaeva and Faleeva, as favorites, decided to unhook the rest. Three of the skiers rolled out to the stadium. Stepanova was in an advantageous position because she stuck behind Faleeva from the descent, but her excellent descent technique did not help this time. Anastasia pushed herself super powerfully. And in equal conditions, no one can fight with Faleeva at the finish line in Russia. even Olympic champion Stepanova. The victory at the Spartakiad was so important for the beauty from Yasnogorsk that she could not hold back her tears.

Nepryaeva came third behind. But this is also a cool result for her. As the season progressed, she repeatedly qualified well and then did not reach the podium.

For gold at the competition, Faleeva will receive 358.4 thousand rubles. Stepanova will be enriched by 179.2 thousand, and Nepryaeva – by 107.5. Whether half of these prize money will go to coaches, as at the summer Spartakiad, is a question.
