Kasatkina was the first among all Wimbledon participants to reach the third round

Russian tennis player Daria Kasatkina reached the third round of Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam tournament of the season.
In the second round, the 26-year-old Russian woman, seeded at the tournament under the 11th number, defeated the British Jody Burrage, the 108th racket of the world, with a score of 6:0, 6:2.
Her next opponent will be the winner of the pair Nadia Podoroska (Argentina) – Victoria Azarenka (Belarus).

Kasatkina won the first set at Wimbledon 6-0 for the third time in her career. Among women, only Chris Evert has more such “steering wheels” (4).
The Russian woman became the first participant in the third round of Wimbledon among all participants. It has been raining for the second day in London, dozens of matches have been rescheduled, and many did not even have time to complete the meetings of the first round.
Kasatkina takes 10th place in the world ranking (the best of the Russians). She has won six WTA tournaments in her career. Her best result at Wimbledon is reaching the quarter-finals in 2018.
Wimbledon will end on July 15th. The total prize pool of the tournament is £44.7 million.
