Books – Mahmoud Saeed:
The prosecution’s investigations into the “Dar es Salaam Massacre” incident revealed that surveillance cameras revealed the accused son’s claim that his parents had disappeared, and that the latter two, his brother, and the father’s friend were killed inside the house, their residence in Hadayek El Maadi.
Ahmed Mohamed, an engineer, accused of killing his family in Maadi Gardens, made detailed confessions before the prosecution in the case known as the “Dar es Salaam Massacre.”
The accused killed his father, “Muhammad A,” 55 years old, his mother, “Azza A,” 45 years old, his brother, “Haitham M.”, known as “Farkha,” and the father’s friend, Ahmed Abdel Qawi.
The accused said that after he graduated from the College of Engineering, he asked his parents to give him money to buy an apartment in one of the upscale areas and a car befitting his new situation, or to give him one of the properties, but his father refused, “We have two buildings and your apartment is next to your brother.”
He added that he decided to force his father to give up their property, so he returned early the Tuesday before last under the pretext of having lunch with his parents, and at gunpoint he asked his father to give up a property he owned, “Give up the building or you will die.” The latter refused, so he fired a bullet at him, killing him. He followed him with a bullet. Another one to his mother and he fell, drowning in her blood.
In a cement cemetery, the son buried his father in the garage of the house, and under the bedroom bed he left his mother’s body. The next day, the accused received his brother, “Haitham,” and his friend, his father, with gunshot wounds and buried their bodies in an apartment on the ground floor.
When the neighbors asked about the reason for the absence of his parents and brother and the failure to open the “Al-Faraji” store owned by them, the accused used the excuse that they had traveled to Al-Ayat to attend a wedding, then decided to write a report regarding their absence.
The accused said that after committing the crime, he bought “cement” and prepared 4 graves to bury the bodies, for fear of spreading the stench and being exposed. Then he stole his mother’s chain, earrings, and gold necklace, as well as their mobile phones.
The opposition judge decided to renew the defendant’s detention for 15 days pending investigations into the case.
