Dany Verstraeten is 67 and was able to retire three years ago. He chose to continue, but then limited himself to the Sunday afternoon broadcast, where he always interviewed a political guest live in the studio. Now he thinks it’s time to stop.
“After all these years, it’s time for me to slow down a bit so I can spend more time with my family and friends,” he says. “When I leave the VTM Nieuws editorial staff, I will do so with a clear mind. On the one hand I am satisfied with everything I have been able to do for more than three decades and on the other hand there is the certainty that the future of VTM Nieuws is in good shape. hands, with the talented colleagues who are working there.”
