With Dany, a long-time member of the GFL Süd Primus Schwäbisch Hall Unicorn is changing to the Amberg Mad Bulldogs as coach!
Only nine days ago the Haller announced the end of Dany’s active playing career on their Facebook page. This began once in the mid-2000s in Kümmersbruck, before the ambitious linebacker moved early to the Plattling Black Hawks in the direction of the GFL. After three years in Plattling, the first time in Hall followed in 2012, before the Amberger moved back to the four-time German champion after an injury break in 2014 and a stopover at the Ingolstadt Dukes in 2015.
After a total of six years and 76 games for the Unicorns, there are now 455 tackles, 55 sacks and three German bowls. After this impressive career, the 33-year-old is now taking the step into coaching and joining the team in his hometown, even if the decision to hang up his shoes was a painful one. “Until the end I was struggling whether I should try it again, especially with the establishment of the ELF, but for personal reasons I have now decided to end my active career “

So now the logical step to coaching followed. “I now want to pass on the knowledge I have gained to the next generation, which is why I decided to join the Dawgs. In addition, my son plays in the Juniors, which of course was another reason to join me” so Dany.
He will primarily coach the linebackers and special teams at the Amberg team. But even as a defense coordinator, the father of three will probably be seen on the sideline.
