Xalapa, Ver. The national leader of the Citizen Movement (MC), Dante Delgado, revealed in a meeting with members of that party in Xalapa, Veracruz, that he suffered from stomach cancer, which was the reason for the surgical intervention he underwent last August. .
He explained that after the doctor’s instructions he had surgery, received chemotherapy treatment and no longer has cancer, although he later suffered from Covid-19.
Delgado Rannauro attended the fourth MC convention in Veracruz this Sunday, where, in addition to leading the inauguration of Luis Carbonell as state leader, he told the members of his party how he was diagnosed.
“Before the doctor told me that I had a stomach cancer problem, I had scheduled events with the consent of the National Operating Commission, so we also planned to be in a family relationship on Friday the 18th, and there to have this event, but The best thing is to spend a few days in the land that you know I love so much and from which I had separated myself so much. “I want to tell you that I had to be here for a family issue on Friday, and for an institutional MC issue yesterday (Saturday) in Mexico City, to the national women’s convention of the movement, and return today to be with you,” express.
During the event, he kept his mask on almost the entire time and began his message by apologizing for his difficulty speaking, since he is still convalescing.
He spoke about his relationship with Andrés Manuel López Obrador when he was a candidate for that party in coalition, criticized the constitutional reform of the Judicial Branch of the Federation and recalled the time when he was in jail, after being accused of alleged diversion of funds during then of his management as interim governor of Veracruz. “Dante Delgado entered the prison and left the same way: standing,” he explained.

On August 21, Delgado reported the surgical intervention he had undergone at the Médica Sur Hospital.
