By obtaining the B CorpTM certificate, Danone group companies in the Baltics have reached the high social and environmental impact standards set by the non-profit organization B Lab. In order to receive a certificate, Danone Group companies in the Baltics must simultaneously fulfill certain requirements related to their management: they must take into account the interests of all interested parties, not only shareholders, in their business operations.
“For more than a hundred years, Danone has been trying to provide healthy products to as many people as possible. B CorpTM certification is a testament to our work to date. Above all, however, it points to the way forward, ensuring continuous improvement in sustainability for the benefit of all stakeholders. As we are one of the first recipients of the B CorpTM certificate in the Baltics, we hope that even more companies will join this global business community, working together to change the economy, taking social and environmental aspects into account,” says Ulla Zakovska, Head of Danone in Finland and the Baltic States .
