Danny Searle – New Assistant Coach for Banik Ostrava

Baník Ostrava has expanded its coaching staff with the addition of Danny Searle as the new assistant coach. The 45-year-old Englishman, who was previously the head coach of the West Ham United academy, joins the team after his most recent stint with Irish club Waterford FC.

Sporting director Luděk Mikloško expressed his confidence in Searle, stating, “I am convinced that Danny Searle will be a huge asset for us.” Mikloško is familiar with the new member of the coaching staff from their time together at West Ham United. He described Searle as a hardworking coach and a great expert who holds a UEFA Pro License. Mikloško believes that Searle will bring a lot to the team as a member of the coaching staff, especially considering his experience at Chelsea.

Searle’s most recent role was as the head coach of Waterford FC, where he led the team to a second-place finish in the Division 1 table last season. Mikloško revealed that when he learned of Searle’s interest in working outside of the UK, his first thought was to bring him to Baník Ostrava. Mikloško is familiar with Searle’s professional qualifications, and with a number of English-speaking players on the team, Searle’s presence in the coaching staff will greatly facilitate communication with this group of players.
