After the summer, Prince Christian and Princess Isabella will each continue their education at a different school, the Danish royal family reports in a statement. Christian continues his school career after the summer holidays in the second grade of the Ordrup Gymnasium in Gentofte and Isabella goes to the ninth grade of the Ingrid Jespersens secondary school in Copenhagen. The royal family also announces that there will be no photo opportunity when the children start at their new schools.

In May of this year, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary said they were “shocked” by a revealing documentary about Herlufsholm, a prestigious boarding school in Denmark. The school is said to have a culture of violence, abuse and bullying. The couple later said they were looking for new schools for their children.
