Danish national player moves to the Bundesliga

Jacob Lassen will leave Bjerringbro-Silkeborg at the end of the season and join the current fourth place in the Bundesliga.

Handball Bundesliga club HSV Hamburg has signed the first new signing for the 2022/23 season. As the newcomer announced on Tuesday, the two-time Danish international Jacob Lassen is moving from Bjerringbro-Silkeborg to the Hanseatic city.

“I am very happy that I can play here in the future. For me, the Bundesliga is the top of world handball, and I want to make a name for myself here, ”says the 26-year-old left-hander, who is supposed to strengthen the backcourt of Hamburg.

“Jacob is one of the most sought-after back space rights in Denmark and still has a lot of potential. It fits in well with our philosophy of relying on players who are capable of development and who want to prove themselves to us, ”said HSVH managing director Sebastian Frecke about the new addition.

In the current table, the climber trained by Torsten Jansen occupies a strong fourth place.
