The Danish court today shares three new photos of King Frederik and his wife Queen Mary. Frederik became the head of state at the beginning of this year, and this was already recorded in an official gala photo. These photos are much more casual in nature.
“Today new official civilian photos of His Majesty the King and Queen have been released,” the Danish court wrote on social media. The photos were taken by photographer Steen Evald op Amalienborg. This time the royal couple are not dressed in official gala clothes, as they were at the another picture this year. They look more casual.

No formal wear
Queen Mary parure diamond emeralds this time it’s not on and King Frederik isn’t in his uniform either. In Denmark they call it a ‘citizen portrait’ and you can see this in more informal clothes than the royal couple. The photos are used by the Danish court in connection with official visits, tours and special events of the royal couple.
