Mafra announced, this Tuesday, that the Danish company HEARTLAND acquired 80% of the shares of SAD, thus becoming the majority shareholder of the emblem of the West.

In a statement, Mafra revealed that the current president of the club, José Cristo, also remains in the position of president and administrator of SAD.

Footclub Investments SGPS sold part of its shares to HEARTLAND, which “also acquired the majority of shares in the Danish football club FC Midtjylland”, with which Mafra has a partnership.

About this new reality, José Cristo, was confident in the future. “With the new sports organization and sharing of knowledge, we have the opportunity to take the next steps, which involve investing in the organization and increasing the budget for players”, he added.
