Danielle Moore, singer of British group Crazy P, dies at the age of 52

British singer Danielle Moore, best known as the voice of the English electro group Crazy P, died on August 30 at the age of 52. The circumstances of her death, announced on Monday, September 2 by the members of the group on Instagram, have not been disclosed.

“We are devastated to announce the devastating, almost inconceivable news of the tragic and sudden passing of our beloved Danielle Moore.”they wrote in their message. She gave us so much, and we love her deeply. Our hearts are broken. We need time to come to terms with this reality. Danielle lived a life of love, compassion, community, and music. She led an extraordinary life. We will miss her terribly.”

Originally from Manchester, Danielle Moore joined Crazy P in 2002. The band, founded in 1995 by musicians Chris Todd and Jim Baron under the name Crazy Penis, became a five-piece from that year. Over the course of their career spanning more than twenty years, the band has released eight albums, the latest of which, Age of the Ego, was released in 2019.

Crazy P has performed in various countries this summer, including Mexico, Croatia, Spain and Portugal, as well as at the latest Glastonbury Festival. They were scheduled to perform at a festival in Bristol on September 1, but their performance was cancelled.
