WIENER NEUDORF. After almost four years as Head of Billa Marketing, Christian Rausch (52) is leaving the company on August 31, 2022 at his own request and on the best of terms; His successor is Daniela Schwarz-Knehtl (43), who has been with Billa since January 2016 and was most recently Head of Brand Communication. Daniela Schwarz-Knehtl will take over the agenda from Christian Rausch on September 1 – an orderly handover has already been ensured over the past few weeks.
In her new function, Daniela Schwarz-Knehtl is responsible for the entire marketing department at Billa and Billa Plus. Born in Burgenland, she graduated from the Advertising Academy and studied PR and integrated communication at the Danube University in Krems; for Billa, Schwarz-Knehtl drove the further development of Frisch Gekocht and Frisch Gekocht Kids before she took over the management of Brand Communication in 2019.
“I am very pleased that we have been able to recruit a very experienced and highly competent successor for this important position in Daniela Schwarz-Knehtl. Already in her function as Head of Brand Communication, she was heavily involved in all relevant marketing activities, now I am looking forward to our even more intensive cooperation. Wilgmann also had words of praise for Schwarz-Knehtl’s predecessor: “I would like to thank Christian Rausch for his extraordinary commitment to Billa over the past few years. As a career changer in the food trade, he not only played a key role in the rebranding of the Billa brand, but also accompanied the brand merger of Billa and Merkur professionally and extremely successfully together with his team.
