Daniel Radcliffe to Release Documentary About Paralyzed Stunt Double in Harry Potter Series

Actor Daniel Radcliffe, who played the main role in the Harry Potter film series, will release a documentary about his stunt double, who was seriously injured during the filming of one of the parts. Information about this appeared in Deadline.

The film was called “David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived.” Holmes participated in the filming of the first part of the film “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” as an understudy for Radcliffe, with whom he managed to become friends. During a planned explosion on the set, the stuntman fell unsuccessfully and injured his spine, which left him paralyzed from the chest down.

The film is being produced in partnership with Sky and HBO, with Radcliffe and Holmes serving as executive producers. It will show footage from the filming of Harry Potter, archival materials about the incident, as well as footage from the life of a former stuntman after his disability.
