Dániel Karsai, a constitutional lawyer who campaigns for euthanasia and suffers from a rare paralytic disease, posted a video titled “Feast” on TikTok – he wrote the index.
The lawyer Dániel Karsai was faced with the fatal diagnosis in August last year, and in September he announced that he would appeal to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg because, in his opinion, Hungary’s complete ban on making end-of-life decisions violates basic human rights.
The recording revealed that the immobilized lawyer, lying in his sick bed, is no longer able to feed himself and is apparently having difficulty swallowing.
As you could tell from the nature of the disease, his condition is gradually deteriorating, which is why feeding through a stomach tube is now necessary. Dániel Karsai can hardly speak anymore, his words can hardly be understood.
In March, his brother commented on his condition:
“We see, we sense that Dani’s condition is constantly deteriorating, but we cannot tell how long this will last, whether this disease will stagnate, stop for a while, and allow a period of rest.”
– said Péter Karsai, and then noted: it is certain that his brother suffers from an extremely progressive subtype of the ALS disease.
