“Daniel Day-Lewis: The Enigmatic Actor Emerges from Seclusion”

It is the first time in years that Daniel Day-Lewis has been spotted in public. After he dropped a bombshell in Hollywood six years ago that he would stop acting, the ‘Gangs of New York’ actor was also no longer seen in public and lived a secluded life. “I want to discover the world in a different way,” he told W magazine. “Phantom Thread” from 2017 is therefore his very last achievement.

Daniel Day-Lewis is the first and only actor to ever take home three Best Actor Oscars for the films ‘The Age of Innocence’, ‘My Left Foot’ and ‘Lincoln’. He is best known for his method acting: even outside the scenes he remained in character (to the point of boredom, according to some colleagues). The British actor is married to Rebecca Miller, together they have two sons: Ronan (25) and Cashel (21). He has another son, Gabriel-Kane (28), from a previous relationship.
