Actor Daniel Craig discusses the big ending of . in a new interview No Time to Die, his last film as James Bond.
The most recent 007 film ends with a special twist for the franchise: the spy sacrifices his life to save beloved Madelein and daughter Mathilde. During the No Time to Die: The Official James Bond Podcast Craig went in here.

“We had a lot of different ideas that came and went and some of them stuck. The common thread was family and love, and the fact that we had to make a clear end”said Craig.
Craig thought it was a big undertaking, but clearly too “a very, very satisfying” whole. So he is very happy with the ending. So is producer Michael G. Wilson. “We thought this was the right way to [het einde] to fly. We’ve all talked about this and concluded that this is the first time in the Bond series we had to approach it like this.”
The death of James Bond was for co-producer Barbara Broccoli a “smart twist”. “Bond never had a family because he never wanted to put himself in a situation where a villain could threaten the lives of his family.”
