Plays by the famous British writer are no stranger to Craig. He previously played in a performance of Othello. The last time Craig was on Broadway on stage was in 2013, when he appeared in Betrayal.

Craig plays in Macbeth next to Ruth Negga, the Passingactress who makes her Broadway debut in the play. She is also familiar with Shakespeare’s work, having previously appeared in the production Hamlet.

Coincidentally, Macbeth is produced by Barbara Broccoli, who also produced all the James Bond movies with Craig. “Daniel is not only a great film actor, but also a fantastic theater actor,” she said in a statement. “I can’t wait to support him in this iconic role on his return to Broadway.”
