Dani Alves Barefoot When Introduced at Camp Nou

Barcelona

Dani Alves re-introduced to the public at Camp Nou after officially becoming a player Barcelona. Just like before, Alves is back in sandals!

Alves is officially in Los Cules’ uniform after being tied to a contract until the end of this season. However, Alves will only be able to play in January because he cannot be registered during the current season.

Alves’ presence was questioned because the age of the player concerned was 38 years old. Moreover, Alves has also not played for a long time after his contract at Sao Paulo was terminated a few months ago.

However, Alves is needed by Xavi Hernandez because he is an experienced senior player who will guide Barcelona’s young players at this time. Barcelona is currently in a slump and needs to get up as soon as possible.

Alves, like new Barcelona players, generally gets an introductory session at Camp Nou, Wednesday (17/11/2021) night WIB or noon local time. Uniquely, Alves wears sandals, not shoes like ordinary footballers. He even went barefoot when he was introduced next to Barcelona president Joan Laporta.

Apparently this had been done by Alves for the first time for Barcelona in 2008. At that time Alves also wore sandals when he was introduced after being bought from Sevilla.

The difference now is that Alves is wearing a turtle neck t-shirt wrapped in a black suit and pants. In the past, Alves only wore a polo shirt and jeans.

“The smell of Camp Nou, the smell of a championship trophy. It smells like a trophy,” Alves said while holding the Camp Nou grass.

“I wear sandals because things can change, but there is one thing that remains the same,” continued Alves about the reason for wearing sandals.

Ah, that’s all Dani Alves.
