In seven districts of the country for Sunday, April 10, an orange code for dangerous weather was announced. There is no warning in only three areas, and the code is yellow in the other 17.
Before noon in Western, and later in Central and Eastern Bulgaria there will be precipitation in many places, in the afternoon in some areas intense and significant in quantity, accompanied by thunder.
The wind will be oriented from the northwest, it will intensify and cold air will blow with it. In the western regions the daily temperatures will drop significantly and will be around 10-12 degrees, and in the eastern ones they will still be high for the first half of April around 19 degrees.
In the districts of Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Smolyan and Kardzhali, the announced warning is code “Orange”. There will be short-term, temporarily intense rainfall, accompanied by thunder and temporary intensification of the wind.
There will be conditions for hail. The expected precipitation amounts are 30-50 mm. A strong southwest wind with gusts of 18-20 m / s will blow. In the afternoon the wind will be oriented from the northwest.
Except in the districts of Pernik, Sofia-city, Pleven and Burgas, where there are no warnings of potential danger, everywhere else the code is yellow. A strong west-northwest wind with gusts of 18-20 m / s will blow.
It will not be suitable for tourism in the mountains, as there will be a sharp change in the weather.
By noon, the prevailing wind will still be southwest and there will be precipitation in places in the massifs of Western Bulgaria. In the afternoon with moderate and strong northwest wind cold air will blow. There will be widespread rainfall, which will turn into snow as temperatures drop. There will be significant quantities in the Rhodopes and the Central Balkans.
On the night before Monday, rainfall across the country will stop, and on Monday from west to east the clouds will quickly break and decrease to sunny weather. It will be cool, with maximum temperatures between 10 and 15 degrees.
In the coming days the weather will be mostly sunny. It will be almost quiet on Tuesday, and a light wind from the northeast will blow on Wednesday and Thursday. The minimum temperatures will be close to zero, and the daily ones will increase and at the end of the period the maximum will be around 20 degrees.
