Everyone wants to have as rich a Christmas and holiday table as possible. Traditionally, this includes not only various sweets, but also quality and fresh fruit, which we like to indulge in, especially now, when vitamins are needed. But instead of strengthening you, such a fruit can easily put you down.
It failed again
It does not matter where you buy it and how much you pay for it. This is not decisive, as difficulties can happen to you even in the case of seemingly high-quality and expensive fruit. As it happened this time too.
The highly objectionable fruit was sold in the Albert retail chain. It was specifically peaches that came from Greece and were sold in bulk. “Analysis at the accredited SZPI laboratory in Prague confirmed the presence of the pesticide chlorpyrifos in the amount of 0.029 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) in the fruit in question, which is approximately three times more than the relevant legal regulation.” informed the State Agricultural and Food Inspection in its message.
It’s really unbelievable that the retail chains, with the prices they charge, can’t check the source of the goods and perhaps test it themselves. In fact, it seems that they don’t care what they sell, and they actually sin that the inspections are sporadic and do not reveal everything.

Keep track of things
Some customers also paused at the fact that SZPI issued this message with a certain time gap, so the peaches in question will probably no longer be in circulation. “The aim of the Food in a sack project is, among other things, to bring the issue of food safety and quality closer to the consumer and to provide comprehensive information on the findings of the State Agricultural and Food Inspection,” states the office, stating that everything must always be investigated properly.
With this statement, it is as if the inspection is advising people that they do not need to follow individual specific findings, when it is often too late anyway, but they should also get an idea of which sellers are often seized and which goods to watch out for.
