A driver was arrested after a chase with a police motorcycle on Monday afternoon in Jambes, said the prosecutor’s office in Namur. The man was traveling in a stolen vehicle.
The police spotted the car and chased it because the driver refused to stop. A dangerous chase then started in the streets of Jambes. The madman finally jumped from his vehicle before it struck a house. He then tried to flee through gardens before being spotted by residents, then arrested and deprived of his liberty by the police.
The individual is well known to the justice system in the Charleroi region. He will be presented to an examining magistrate for a nasty traffic obstruction. He could not drive under a previous judgment, said the prosecution.
