Two motorcyclists died on Monday evening near Bad Schwalbach (Rheingau-Taunus district) on the L 3033. According to the police, a 32-year-old motorcyclist came into the oncoming lane in a right-hand bend, then hit a car, skidded and crashed into a 67-year-old motorcyclist.
In the collision on the winding road through the Wispertal, both were injured so badly that they died at the scene of the accident. The driver and his passenger were unharmed. There was total damage of around 27,000 euros.
Serious biker accident near Ludwigsburg and Vellberg
Two motorcyclists were also involved in a dramatic traffic accident in the district of Ludwigsburg (Baden-Württemberg) on Monday: There, a 57-year-old biker was run over by another and critically injured.
According to the police, a 37-year-old driver had braked when the 57-year-old biker driving behind her recognized the situation too late and drove into her car. After the impact, he flew over the car and landed in the opposite lane.
A 66-year-old motorcyclist could no longer avoid it and rolled over the 57-year-old. The 66-year-old motorcyclist then fell himself and sustained serious injuries.
In addition, another biker died in an accident on Whit Monday in Vellberg, in the north-east of Baden-Württemberg: The 22-year-old died in a collision with a car. According to the police, the 52-year-old driver was seriously injured.
His six-year-old son, who was in the passenger seat, suffered minor injuries. The motorcycle caught fire and burned out completely.
