On Thursday, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute announces that they have issued the very first warning of lightning and thunder.
– Thursday evening and night to Friday a lot of lightning is expected in connection with rain showers. The storm will first hit Agder and Telemark, and then move northeast towards southern parts of Innlandet county. There will be large local differences in intensity, and some places will not have thunderstorms, YR writes their websites.
It is recommended to disconnect electrical appliances. Seek shelter. Avoid open plains and large trees. Do not swim or swim.
The danger warning is confirmed by meteorologist on duty Julie Solsvik Vågane at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute.
