The village head of Kampung Melayu Aris Krisnulfaridi said this fogging activity was in collaboration with the Banyuwangi Health Service through the Singotrunan Health Center.

Fogging targets people’s homes and yards that may become a breeding ground for the Aedes Aegypti mosquito.

“There are 9 of our residents who have been infected with DHF, so local residents asked for fogging in coordination with the Health Service,” said Aris, as quoted from suaraindonesia.co.id Suara.com media network.

His party hopes that, with fogging efforts, the growth of Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes can be suppressed, so that no more residents are infected with DHF.

“Hopefully this is the last one, in the future we can carry out community service together to eradicate mosquito nests,” concluded Lurah Aris.

Separately, the Head of the Banyuwangi Health Service (Dinkes), Amir Hidayat said that fogging efforts in the local area were coordinated by the Head of the Singotrunan Health Center.

“Some of the residents who have been infected with dengue are still being treated at the hospital,” Amir added.
