Several thousand Porsche Panamera and Bentley Continental will have to go to the brand’s support centers to fix a dangerous defect that can also lead to the car catching fire.
NHTSA specialists from the American Institute of Traffic Safety have discovered that the mentioned Porsche and Bentley models have installed a climate control system pump with insufficient sealing. Problems with maintaining the correct temperature regime in the cabin will be the least harm – as a result of the coincidence of various conditions, a short circuit with subsequent ignition may occur, therefore NHTSA together with the manufacturer agreed on the announcement of a recall, inviting more than 30 thousand Porsches and almost 5.5 thousand Bentleys to service.
Porsche Panameras manufactured between July 21, 2015 and November 10, 2021 are subject to the recall, but Bentley Continental GT, GT Cabrio and Flying Spur owners should be careful if their vehicles were manufactured between June 15, 2018 and 2020 for July 10.
