Jakarta – Dangdut singer Inul Daratista complained about the planned increase in entertainment tax which he considered would further aggravate the already difficult economic situation. He said that many houses in Pondok Indah were being sold as proof that conditions were difficult.
Initially, he complained about the entertainment tax of up to 25% on his social media.
“Entertainment tax has increased from 25% to 40-75% if you don’t obey the rules, you want to invite mods!!!!” wrote Inul on social media X, which was uploaded on January 13, quoted on Tuesday (16/1/2024).
Not only that, he also conveyed how difficult it is to live in Jakarta, especially if entertainment taxes actually increase.
“I’m jealous when I see other businesses in 2 years suddenly turning into trillions, do you think the taxes are safe or secured?? There are also those who have just become members of parliament and are on a mercy ride showing off their 10 different cars, from toe to branded sirah “Everything… I just buy it using 1 year installments, buy branded goods using installments, thinking that if I buy los dol, my employees won’t get paid. Luckily I have side income from singing, etc.,” he wrote on Instagram, which was uploaded 2 days ago. Instagram social media quoted Tuesday (16/1/2024). Inul said that the increase in entertainment tax would make the economic situation even more difficult. In fact, he said that currently, it is so difficult for many of his colleagues to sell houses in Pondok Indah, which is also due to high taxes.
“Here, Pondok Indah, many of my friends are offering their houses for sale, they can’t bear to pay the exorbitant house tax!! Those with a lot of money are really stupid when they see us crying blood. Until the tax actually goes up…. you are not representatives of the people but murderers of the people !!!” he continued.
Regarding the number of houses in Pondok Indah which are said to be for sale, the Board of Commissioners of Xavier Marks Indonesia, Lisa Kuntjoro, revealed that currently many houses in Pondok Indah are for sale. However, the woman who is often nicknamed the ‘Queen of Pondok Indah’ said that this large number of houses being sold has been happening for a long time, not just recently.
“There are no longer as many (for sale) as there used to be, there are a lot of them. Because it’s like they’re spinning, right, those who have retired (have a house in Pondok Indah) are getting too big, and the new young people (starting families) need (a house) a big one,” he said to detikProperti, Tuesday (16/1/2024).
“It looks like there’s one house, there are lots of agents (who sell it), wow it looks like there are lots, even though it’s only one. The cycle has been the same since the beginning,” he said.
