Dane Jonas Wingegaard Surprises in the Tour de France Sixteenth Stage

In a big step towards retaining the title, the Dane settled Jonas Wingegaard The race against his most prominent Slovenian rival, Tadi Bogachar, in the sixteenth stage of the Tour de France, on Tuesday.

The Dane attacked from the start of the 22.4km race between Bassi and Combelo, to overtake the Slovenian by 1 minute 38 seconds.

Most of the participating riders and critics were recommending Bagachar to win today’s race, but the Dane defied expectations and came very close to winning the title in his favour.

“I am very proud of what I achieved today,” said the winner. “Today you will win the title, forward, forward, forward,” Wingegaard’s team chanted throughout the race.

As for Bogachar, he said, “I couldn’t do more than I did today.”

1- Dane Jonas Vengegaard, 32.26 minutes

2- Slovenian Tadi Bogachar, a difference of 1.38 minutes

3- The Belgian Foot Van Art, a difference of 2.51 d

4- The Spanish Belo Bilbao, a difference of 2.55 d

5- British Simon Yates, by 2.58 d

Overall ranking:

1- The Dane, Jonas Vengegaard, 63:06.53 hours

2- Slovenian Tadi Bogachar, a difference of 1.48 minutes

3- Briton Adam Yates, with a difference of 8.52 d

4- Spaniard Carlos Rodriguez, by 8.57 d

5- Australian Guy Hindley, by 11.15 d
