“I’ve been dancing in front of my TV since I was 6 years old. I signed up for dance when I was 7 years old. Then I immediately fell in love with dancing! “says Victoria.
It is by participating in the international dance competition Hit The Floor in Lévis last May that she won a scholarship. It allowed him to go dancing for a week in New York at the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School.
“I spent an intensive week there, I was dancing from morning to night, it was very intense, but I loved my experience! My dance teachers texted me, they were like: Hey! Have you seen this? It’s sick the scholarship you won! And I didn’t really understand what they wanted to talk about… But I realized that I had won a scholarship, then I freaked out, I was really happy! “says Victoria.
Victoria is still on her cloud following this unique experience. A significant event that reconfirms his passion.
“It’s very different from here in Quebec… It’s much more industrial… Then I had the chance to go see a show on Broadway, I loved it! I said to myself : Ok, that’s what I want to do later! “, adds the dancer.
Now back in Quebec, Victoria will have to continue her studies in Natural Sciences, without abandoning dance…
“I really try to reconcile dance and studies… It’s a challenge for me because I dance a lot, but I also have to spend a lot of time in my studies! It’s still important for me too, so it’s going to be to reconcile all that, by continuing to train hard in dance and by studying as I should…”, concludes Victoria.
