Two pieces, two continents, two dance worlds: The venerable Semperoper in Dresden and the École des Sables on the edge of the African savannah: The spectacular projects show how a young generation of dancers from all over the world are rediscovering Pina’s choreographies, under the guidance of former dancers from her company. But Pina cannot simply be copied. The dancers must experience Pina anew with their bodies and their stories.
