Dancing on Ice’s Jason Donovan wincing in pain after leaving ITV show E! News UK

Jason Donovan looked sore as seen this weekend.

Yesterday, it was revealed that the Dancing on Ice star – who had initially withdrawn temporarily from the ITV show after suffering from back problems – was leaving the skating series for good.

The 52-year-old was spotted last Sunday and didn’t do much to hide his pain as he was pictured with a strained look on his face.

In the snaps, the musical sensation grimaced as he strolled leisurely through Notting Hill in London gritting his teeth.

The Australian native was dressed in a casual ensemble of a gray sweater paired with black sweatpants and sneakers as he took in the fresh air, and he covered his head in a cap decorated with the logo of the Fortnite online video game.

He could be seen listening to music during his outdoor pursuit as headphones could be spotted in his ears.

It comes as an ITV spokesperson told the Mirror that Jason – who has partnered with pro Alex Schauman – is stepping down from the show.

They said in a statement: “Jason Donovan has brought us so much joy with his performances on Dancing On Ice – from Priscilla to tango.

“Our thanks go to Jason and his partner Alex for being so wonderful and committed to the show. We are sorry to see them go and we wish Jason a speedy recovery. “

Its early exit means there are only five celebrities left in the competition – Rebekah Vardy, Lady Leshurr, Colin Jackson CBE, Sonny Jay and Faye Brookes.

Jason’s exit followed a string of disasters that took place during this year’s installment of Dancing on Ice.

Just a week before Jason left, Joe-Warren Plant was forced to withdraw from the show following a positive coronavirus test.

Previously, Faye Brookes’ professional partner Hamish Gaman was forced to resign after injuring his finger and he has since been replaced by Matt Evers.

Before Denise left, however, professional skater Yebin Mok – who had been associated with Graham Bell – had to step down before the show even began.

Yebin had been rushed to hospital after a skate stabbed her in the leg after a rehearsal went horribly wrong, with her injury being described by Judge Jayne Torvill as one of the worst ever ‘she has ever seen.
