Dancing for Mobility: Join Our Weekly Classes for People with Parkinson’s, MS, ADCA, CVA, or Rheumatism

This activity is especially for people who experience a challenge in movement as a result of Parkinson’s, MS, ADCA, CVA or rheumatism. It does not matter whether you can walk, stand, sometimes suffer from frostbite or need a rollator or wheelchair. If desired, you can participate in all exercises on a chair. We all start dancing sitting down anyway.

Dancing weekly from Tuesday 5 September 2023 from 13-14 hrs

The most important thing is dancing together.

Dancing is so much more than just moving. Imagination and the rhythm of the music make moving so much nicer (and easier) to do. Moreover, dancing with a whole group or with a partner gives a sense of togetherness and extra energy. Everyone can participate as they wish. No one is perfect, but everyone is unique.

Move better with pleasure

We go ‘loose’ to music, dance rhythmically and freely with a lot of fun expected. They are the ingredients to experience the pleasure of exercise and what this can do to you, and for your condition, coordination, equilibrium, flexibility, strength, posture and balance. Dancing stimulates you in a different way, releases extra energy and makes you forget the daily challenges you have to deal with. Everyone can participate, regardless of age and mobility. Experience is not necessary, but is welcome.

Trail on February 11, 2023 was a great success

Under the guidance of Andrew Greenwood and Dido Mirck, more than 120 people danced together. More information can be found at www.notabenebovenkerk.nl.
